| Modifications/Conversions | The engine is an Textron Lycoming IO-360-A1B6 wit the serial Nr. L-14218-51A with 345hrs.
Kompression is 70, 76, 77, 74 // 80.
The Prop came new in 2013 and has less than 10hrs.
Airframe has 305hrs.
The yearly renewal I just passed, it was done by a checker of “Oskar-Ursinus-Vereinigung”, which I think is similar to “bureauveritas” in France.
About the maintenance:
the aircraft is certified in Normal, Utility, Aerobatic or Commuter Category. This means, small maintainance can be done by the owner, everything else can be done by any maintenance-facility, that does annex 2 aircraft.
This is one of the very few homebuilt Lancair`s, which are not an experimental anymore.
That makes it unique between the other Lancair`s on the market, it is hard to get!
A few more interesting facts for you: My father (the builder) was an Dipl.-Ing for aerodynamics and aircraft lightweight construction (i.e. glass- and carbonfibre materials) and was working for Airbus in Finkenwerder and Toulouse. Furthermore he was the constructor and builder of the gliderplane “MISTRAL C”, one of the first glassfibre constructions, so it was not too difficult for him, to build an kitplane like this. |
| Inspection Status | der Flieger sieht aus wie neu, ist von einem Airbus Ingenieur in 5000 Stunden zusammengebaut worden und hat eine nichtgewerbliche normale Zulassung--das ist kein Experimental !
Dieses Lancair ist zugelassen in der Normal-, Nutz- und Kunstflug- oder Zubringerkategorie, daß heißt, sie ist eine der ganz wenigen, die kein Experimental mehr ist !!!!
Die Wartung kann also von jeder Werft durchgeführt werden. Das ist eine Eigenschaft, die sie von der "Experimental" - Competition hervorhebt und auch den angeblich viel zu hohen Preis relativiert.
Sowas gibt es nämlich nicht auf dem Markt!
Außerdem wollen die Leute immer gerne was vvon dem Erbauer wissen, weil man irgendeinem Hobbyschrauber ja nicht so gerne vertraut:
Mein Vater (der Erbauer) war Dipl.-Ing. für Aerodynamik, Flugzeugbau und Leichtbau mit Schwerpunkt "Verbundwerkstoffe" (GFK, CFK) und hat viele Jahre bei AIRBUS in Finkenwerder gearbeitet. Außerdem war er der Konstrukteur und Erbauer des in den 70er Jahren in Serie gefertigten Segelflugzeugs "MISTRAL C". |
